Solvent Inks for Wide-Format Printing

FUJIFILM Sericol Color+ WU Series is a professional solvent ink series specially developed for wide-format piezoelectric printing platforms. The inks provide stable printing performance, a wide color gamut, and excellent durability for outdoor applications.

The inks feature low odor, excellent media adhesion, and stable printhead performance even in high-speed production environments.

OUTDOOR WEATHER RESISTANCE

To achieve outstanding weather resistance, wide color gamut, and accurate color reproduction, FUJIFILM Sericol Color+ WU Series inks use premium-quality pigments. Lightfastness was tested in accelerated weathering conditions using a xenon weatherometer according to the SAEJ1960 standard.

Under Climate Zone 1 conditions (UK-type climate), unlaminated and uncoated prints may achieve outdoor durability of up to 36 months.

CHEMICAL AND ABRASION RESISTANCE

FUJIFILM Sericol Color+ WU Series inks provide high resistance to alcohol, gasoline, and mechanical abrasion. For maximum print protection in demanding applications, additional lamination or Polyplast PY383 protective coating is recommended.

COMPATIBILITY WITH PLASTICS AND MEDIA

The inks are suitable for printing on a wide range of media:

• banner materials;
• self-adhesive vinyls;
• backlit films;
• canvas;
• POS materials;
• other indoor and outdoor advertising media.

Some plastic materials may contain plasticizers or oily components that affect ink adhesion. For maximum image durability, surface cleaning with white spirit or specialized media preparation solutions is recommended before printing.

FAST DRYING PERFORMANCE

FUJIFILM Sericol Color+ WU Series inks provide fast drying on coated and uncoated materials commonly used in advertising production and wide-format printing.

Drying speed depends on:

• media type;
• ink layer thickness;
• temperature and humidity;
• print speed and printer heater settings.

PRINTHEAD COMPATIBILITY WARRANTY

FUJIFILM guarantees full compatibility of Color+ WU Series inks with printers and ink delivery systems using Epson DX and Epson TFP piezoelectric printheads.

When storage and operating conditions are properly maintained, the inks do not affect printhead lifespan. If factory laboratory testing confirms printhead damage caused by the ink, the manufacturer will compensate for printhead replacement according to warranty conditions.

STORAGE AND SAFETY CONDITIONS

For maximum shelf life, inks should be stored:

• in a dry area away from direct sunlight;
• at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C;
• at humidity levels of 40–80% without condensation.

Shelf life — up to 18 months from production date.

Recommended operating temperature

+18°C … +25°C.

After opening, the ink should be used within 45 days.

Safety precautions

• keep out of reach of children;
• do not ingest;
• avoid contact with eyes and skin;
• in case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
