STORAGE CONDITIONS

• Store the ink in closed rooms, away from direct sunlight.

• Storage temperature: +5 °C to +25 °C, relative humidity 40–80% without condensation.

• When stored under these conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

• Recommended operating temperature: +18 °C to +25 °C.

• After opening the container, the ink must be used within 45 days.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Not intended for consumption.

• In case of skin contact – wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap.

• In case of eye contact – rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.

• It is recommended to handle ink while wearing protective gloves and working in a well-ventilated area.

• Prevent release into sewage systems and natural water bodies.

WEATHER RESISTANCE

To ensure high lightfastness and durability of prints, only premium-quality pigments are used. Accelerated weathering tests according to the SAEJ1960 standard have confirmed that prints made with SunChemical 804 UV LED inks maintain color stability outdoors for up to 36 months without additional protection.

When using protective lamination or a clear varnish, the durability period can be significantly extended. This makes products printed with UV inks highly reliable for use under conditions of increased solar radiation, moisture, and mechanical stress.

CURING

The inks feature an optimized formula for fast curing under both mercury UV lamps and LED UV systems. This ensures versatile application and consistent print quality across a wide range of flexible and rigid substrates suitable for UV printing.

Fast polymerization of the inks:

PRINTHEAD WARRANTY

The manufacturer guarantees that SunChemical Streamline 804 UV LED inks are fully compatible with the ink delivery systems of printers using piezoelectric printheads (Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Toshiba, Seiko), provided that the inks are stored and used strictly in accordance with the instructions.

• The inks do not negatively affect the condition or service life of the printheads when used correctly.

• If, upon submission of a documented claim, it is proven that the inks caused printhead failure, the manufacturer will replace the affected printheads free of charge.

• Replacement is carried out only on the basis of a technical laboratory analysis of the printheads, confirming the possible cause of failure.

MATERIALS

Wood, acrylic, coated plastics – light sanding and cleaning before printing is recommended. Some types of plastic materials may contain oily substances or plasticizers, which over time can reduce ink adhesion. To minimize this effect, it is recommended to clean the surface with special degreasing agents before printing.

Glass, metal, ceramics – materials with hard and smooth surfaces, such as glass and metal, have naturally low adhesion. To ensure reliable bonding, the use of a special primer is necessary. Applying primer allows the ink to penetrate deeper into the surface and form a durable layer resistant to abrasion, moisture, and mechanical stress.

Paper, cardboard, PVC film – can be printed without additional treatment, but for increased durability, applying a protective varnish is recommended.

RESISTANCE TO CHEMICALS AND ABRASION

SunChemical Streamline 804 UV LED inks provide excellent resistance to both mechanical abrasion and chemical exposure.

• Outstanding alcohol and solvent resistance, ensuring long-lasting durability even under intensive use.

• High resistance to scratches and wear, which is especially important for outdoor advertising, POS materials, and industrial decoration.

• For maximum durability, it is recommended to apply a protective coating (Polyplast PY series varnishes) or to laminate the finished print.

• The use of protective finishes can significantly extend the product’s lifespan under UV radiation, moisture, and mechanical stress.
